About Us
Buzz Action Foundation is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, registered with The Charity Commission for England and Wales.
We have 5 people on our board of trustees. We are lucky to have Karen Evans serving as Chair and Jody Drinkall as the Chief Executive.
Our charity registration number is 1171937
We also have a number of stakeholders. These are our project managers, our staff, our volunteers. Currently there are less than 30 staff including volunteers. Our projects are integrated so that staff can cover for each other and swap tasks. Every year we have a stakeholders meeting where all of the staff can meet, socialise, share a meal and share ideas. We often invite partners from other agencies to this event.
What We Do
Buzz Action Foundation provides and supports Positive Activities for children, young people and families in areas of identified need. Most of our activities are free at the point of delivery.
BAF runs several projects including 3 Youth Clubs, two Circus Clubs and a working Community Circus.
Our Buzz Action Roadshow project provides exciting, fun and novel experiences, travelling out to towns, villages and remote rural areas offering access to all. We also work with other agencies, delivering bespoke programmes for many organisations and youth groups.
Circus Wessex, our community circus, runs workshops in schools, at public events and for other youth groups. It also takes our young people to festivals and other cultural events in a variety of roles, from performing, to instructing, to rigging and technical work.
